FAQ — Mastering
How should I prepare my mix for mastering?
Your mix should have at least -6dB of headroom, with no limiters or heavy compression on the master bus. We accept WAV or AIFF files at 24-bit (or 32-bit float) and any sample rate up to 96kHz.
What is Apple Digital Masters?
It’s a high-resolution delivery format (24-bit) specifically encoded for Apple Music. We are certified to provide masters that meet these strict quality standards.
Can you master for Vinyl?
Yes. Vinyl requires a different dynamic range and bass management than digital. Please request a “Vinyl Pre-Master” if you plan to press records.
Is a deposit required?
We usually require full payment upfront for single track mastering, or a deposit for larger EP/Album projects. Contact us for details.
